Our company is made up of oil and gas professionals with the goal of designing and building air motors to drill directional and horizontal boreholes using conventional air hammers. Air hammer drilling is frequently utilized in shallow, hard rock regions—especially by smaller independent contractors—but horizontal drilling technology, common in most deeper basins, is often expensive and not suitable for the smaller rigs commonly used.

 

Our now-patented technology has emerged to provide small independents access to the production benefits that horizontal drilling has afforded. During the process of developing this technology for oil and gas, our motors proved ideally suited for HDD, mining, and other construction projects requiring borehole drilling in hard rock. Mr. Richter is the CEO of Directional Air Drilling Int and a Certified Professional Landman (CPL) with over 40 years of experience combined in the business development, upstream, midstream and downstream segments of the energy industry.

Inventor

Mr. Sanders brings extensive expertise in geological engineering and down-hole tool design. He co-designed innovative directional drilling measurement and telemetry systems, along with down-hole motors built for horizontal air hammer drilling—technologies now patented in the

U.S., Canada, and Australia.

 

His development work includes the DADI 6 Air Motor, a 5.5" x 9' motor that delivers air hammer drilling performance to HDD and hard rock applications, and the compact DADI 4, a 3 7/8" x 7' motor engineered for HDD operations and slim hole drilling.
